About Annie Fox

With an undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master's in Education Annie Fox has always been interested in helping kids make choices that reflect who they really are.

In 1977, she and her husband David co-founded the Marin Computer Center, the world's first public access microcomputer facility where she began exploring ways technology could be used to empower kids. This led her to write her best selling introductory computer book, Armchair BASIC, which afforded her the opportunity to become a nationally respected writer/designer of children's software.

In 1996, at the dawn of the Internet Age, Annie dreamed up the idea for The InSite, an award-winning web resource for teens. (www.TheInSite.org ) One of The InSite’s most popular features isHey Terra, an online teen relationship adviser. Her award-winning book The Teen Survival Guide to Dating and Relating is based on hundred of email questions from teens around the world and Annie’s responses to them.

Annie’s other notable books for teens and tweens include: Too Stressed to Think? A Teen Guide for Staying Sane When Life Makes You CRAZY and the new Middle School Confidential™ series. She’s an avid blogger, the founder of the anti-bullying forum Cruel’s Not Cool! as well as the host of the popular Family Confidential podcast series.  Annie’s latest products for kids are a series of ground-breaking iPad apps to be released in the Spring 2011.

Annie empowers kids, t(w)eens and the adults who live and work with them through increased self-awareness, stress-management techniques and emotional intelligence skill-building
